Frequently Asked Questions

Can it help with my type of arthritis?
Laser therapy works to relieve all types of arthritis pain. Rheumatoid...osteoarthritis...degenerative.

How does it work?
Laser light reduces swelling and inflammation by massively increasing bloodflow and circulation to the affected area. Laser repairs chemical damage to cells so that they re-energize themselves and begin healing. New collagen is formed, which is the primary support structure of ligaments, tendons, and muscles. (Click here >>> HOW LASER WORKS to see more in-depth information about how laser therapy takes away pain)

Is it safe?
Yes, it is completely safe and this is one of the primary reasons laser therapy is a sought after treatment for arthritis pain. It can even be safely used over metal implants unlike other physical therapy treatments like ultrasound. So even if you had a joint replcaements surgery, laser therapy is safe to use.

Does it hurt?
No, absolutely not. As a matter of fact it is a very relaxing therapy. You will feel a slight warming sensation and a relaxtion of muscle tension as inflammation is reduced.

How many sessions will I need?
Arthritis therapy is a 10-visit program, depending on your unique situation. Most therapy is based on initial response to the first session. The typical program is as follows: 4 visits the first week and then two visits per week for the remaining 6 sessions.

Can I still take my arthritis medication?
Yes. But with laser therapy treatment, you will typically require less medication. Most of our clients significantly reduce their medication dosages, and some have even eliminated them completely. We work directly with your primary treating physician to ensure proper levels of needed medication after laser therapy is completed.

Will laser 'Cure' my arthritis?
Unfortunately there is no 'cure' for arthritis. There is only 'management'. Meaning you will have an improved quality of life in regards to pain relief and activities of daily living (walking, sleeping, exercising, etc.). You may need periodic laser therapy sessions in episodes of 'flare-ups' or to maintain pain relief. Average span between maintenance visits is four to eight weeks for one session. Your individual care plan will be determined at the consultation.

How will I know if it works for me?
That's easy. Just try it! Complete our 4-visit Guarantee Program. Try four sessions of laser and if you don't  notice a significant decrease in your pain, then you do not schedule anymore visits. The majority of arthritis pain sufferers feel a tremendous improvement in their pain by the fourth visit
.
